About Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the world's oldest system of medicine for physical, spiritual and physical wellness. It was developed in India more than 3000 years ago. Its main goal is to promote good health, not to fight diseases. Ayurveda believes that each person is made up of the five basic elements space, air, fire, water and earth.
Ayurveda was codified in the 2nd century BCE by the great physician Charaka in a treatise called Charaka Samhita. Later it was spread by traders and scholars all over the world including China, Egypt, Arabia and Europe. Ayurveda believes that your food should be your medicine as your good, pure and healthy diet prevents you from getting sick.
